This retreat will deepen your yoga and meditation practice while unlocking self-discovery. We'll explore free movement, connecting with the mind to find mobility, and igniting our mornings with deep Zazen Meditation to 'uncage' our hearts, minds, and body. We will dive deep into Budokon which is a holistic and powerful approach to movement, philosophy, and self-development. The word Budokon is built by the syllables BU for warrior, DO for path, and KON for spirit.

Budokon invites you to overcome your limiting beliefs of what you can and cannot achieve, and helps to develop yourself through introspection and self-transformation. The practice promotes self-knowledge, self-confidence, and a deeper connection with yourself. Arising and trusting your inner warrior and fighter, but also deepening the confidence that your yogi is always by your side.

Budokon combines various disciplines such as Yoga, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts, Crawling Patterns, Mobility, Calisthenics, & Meditation. This wide range of elements creates a unique training experience that promotes physical strength, mental clarity, and emotional balance.

This retreat is suitable for everyone who already has experience with yoga, as well as with Budokon. We will have a daily morning and evening practice (Meditation, Mind Science, Budokon Yoga, Mobility, Yobilty including some powerful and advanced postures, sequences, and transitions.

The Experience

Every morning will start with:

 

Meditation & Walking Meditation

when we meditate, we inject far-reaching and long-lasting benefits into our lives: We lower our stress levels, we get to know our pain, we connect better, we improve our focus, and we're kinder to ourselves. Simple yet highly effective meditation practices will be provided to cleanse the mind, increase focus and attention, and reset/release unwanted thought patterns. Meditation tools are accessible to everyone regardless of prior experience or not. Like physical practice, you will receive guided meditations as also days of complete silent meditations. 

Mind Science

Being present will help us in so many situations in life. If we learn to choose how to think and only use the mind for what we want, there will be a lot less suffering in us. Most of us know how annoying our minds can be. Judging ourselves, judging others, judging our surroundings, or just giving negative views on what we see. Situations are happening to us and the mind is reacting as it has in similar situations (patterns) we have experienced before. It is using autopilot to be more efficient. Mastering this behavior is important and greatly beneficial. We will dive into specific themes, break down and get to know more a bit about ourselves.

The Physical Practice: 

Each session will be full of techniques to advance your body awareness, strengthen your muscles, and increase your functional range of motion.

During our sessions, you will sense a thorough exploration of the body, educating you on all areas including your spine, core, back, shoulders, hips, lower legs, arms, and wrists. Practice Styles: Budokon Yoga & Budokon Mobility, Budokon Yin, Budokon Yobility and Restorative, thru all these you will gain access to a wider range of postures and transitions where you will fully transform your asana practice. The Location

La Serrania is a retreat center in the foothills of the Serra de Tramuntana Mountains in northern Mallorca.

Surrounded by oak woods and olive groves and built on limestone, the clear and serene architecture completely blends into the Mediterranean setting, creating a sense of harmony and wholeness. Tim & Martina, have been offering retreats at La Serranía for over 20 years, having embarked on this journey from Vienna and Canada as a lifestyle choice and with a desire to broaden our horizons as well as those of our guests. Along the way they have deepened their passion for food and nature, learned much about the human psyche, and moved from couple to business partners and parents.

The property enjoys breathtaking views of the Mountains. Spend some time alone in a quiet corner on your private terrace, or hang out with the group in the communal spaces such as the cozy living room or the outdoor terrace lounge and sparkling Pool.

Winnie dived into the Budokon world, in 2019 on her first Budokon Yoga Primary Series TT in Nürnberg, a second round including Budokon Mobility at Budokon University in Miami in early 2020 & has now in 2023 finished up BDK Yoga Secondary Series at Budokon University in Montana. Has also served as an assistant in Budokon Teacher Trainings with Cameron & Melayne Shayne, always in learning mode and sharing her passion for this movement. 

Her classes are interactive, challenging not just physically but also mentally, giving space and sharing a hand with all those on their special Budokon path. She has learned to see life as an open book, taking every chapter as a new experience, as a new teacher. Her practice has taught her the importance of self-observation, observation of the senses and state of mind, and how to express these through movement. She is now enjoying the full Budokon journey, sharing passion, strength, and love with those who are in search of it, building with lots of patience and deepest love for the BUDOKON Hamburg Community & BUDOKON Community in general.

Special Guest

Lilo Asensi is the first woman to be awarded a Black Belt in BJJ in Spain, she has been an experienced trainer and successful international competitor for over 17 years. She has completed academic training in Alicante and studied the diplomacy of physical education. Thanks to this training, she learned the knowledge and technique to lead a wide range of groups: children, and adults, exercises adapted to different physical complaints, as well as sessions adapted to specific educational support needs.

She started BJJ training at the Climent Club Academy. Achieved her black belt in 2012. From that moment on, her sports career began to expand on the international stage: participating in many championships in different parts of the world, working as a referee in various associations, participating in various "BJJ training camps" and leading seminars in various European countries. Today she dedicates fully to Bjj teachings, but without neglecting her training, with the aim of keeping herself in shape, continuing to learn, and continuing to innovate in this part of martial arts, which for her is more of a lifestyle to be.
